Lydia Wardell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as a 1990 University of Alabama Honors Graduate. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor when she graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1993. Ms. Wardell spent her first 15 years of her legal career honing her trial skills and mastering a courtroom presence as Prosecutor Attorney with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office. She is an ardent supporter of victim’s rights and has been recognized nationally for her outstanding commitment to victims of crime. As a member of the Florida Bar in good standing, she has participated in upwards of 300 jury trials. Ms. Wardell is also licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Georgia and has Pro hac vice experience in Delaware where she successfully argued and convinced the learned District Court Judge William Bennett to unseal volumes of records he had previously ordered sealed. She holds the rare and honorable distinction of winning a highly contentious “stand your ground” legal battle resulting in a dismissal of all related criminal and civil charges.
